Sweet Home, Chicago

Sorry for my absence of late; it's been an insane week work-wise. I had to travel unexpectedly to Chicago, from where I am writing these words. I have ony been back to CHicago twice since moving from here almost four years ago, and both those trips were one nighters. I have to say that it's good to be back. Chicago in the Summertime (though yesterday was anything but Summer like with grey skies and pouring rain) is fantastic, and while I still prefer San Francisco, this is one terrific City composed of terrific people. There's something about the Midwest sensibility that makes this a very special place. I'm leaving tonight but already feeling a bit wistful about it; I look forward to returning sometime soon, hopefully with the kids in tow, so that we can show them the sites that they sadly barely remember.
