A Very Brave Young Lady

I just received a very touching and heartfelt note today from a very, very brave young lady from the New York metropolitan area who found this blog. I won't reveal her name unless she decides to post; let's call her "S".

"S" is going through a pretty tough ordeal right now, tougher than anything I experienced, but she is showing tremendous bravery and character. Although none of you know young Ms. "S," please say a prayer for her and send good vibes.

And to you "S", if you are reading this, I will be thinking of you each and every day.

Keep the faith and stay strong.

Oh, wow. Wow. I don’t know what to say. It’s actually a rarity, but I’m at a total loss. It just amazes me that people who don’t even know me - well, for the most part, anyway :) - could make me feel like there’s something on the other side of this hell. I think people underestimate the power that a few well-chosen words – even something as simple as “you are so brave and strong” – can have to make another person happy. This means more to me than anyone will probably ever know. Thanks...and for the record, I do actually intend to “kick cancer’s ass” all the way down!

S,
As Howard, and many other people who read and post on this blog know, you're never alone. Always know there are people out here who are rooting for you. Stay strong, and stay positive. As they say, "it never always gets worse".

I'm glad you reached out to Howard, and can tap into his support group. You're doing great.
